In May-June 2023, our Grade 6-9 students took part in the 7 session 'Friendly PEERsuasion' program with Girls Inc. of Northern Alberta. In this program, the students learned about communication, stress, peer and media pressure, substances, the future, and leadership skills.
Our grade 6-9 students had a virtual presentation on Internet Safety this afternoon with Constable Robertson from the Wood Buffalo RCMP. Thank you so much to Cst. Robertson for sharing all of this important information, and for giving the students tips on how to be safe online.
Our Grade 4-9 girls had six weeks of the #GirlsToo program with the Girls Inc. of Northern Alberta. Girls Inc. provides safe spaces for girls to speak out about their experiences, and they equip them with the knowledge and skills to be healthy, prepared, and informed. They teach girls about healthy relationships, boundaries, consent, and communication. Thank you so much to Hanna for running this #GirlsToo program with our students!
